So here we go! A new chapter in our lives paralleled with a new blog.  We are parents!  Still feels weird to say it out loud, well, in type I guess.  Our lives dramatically changed for the brilliantly better on Saturday, January 3rd, 11:54 pm.  Joel Emmett Coverston entered the world weighing in at 8lbs 4oz and 21 inches long.  He is beautifully perfect.  He doesn't cry too much and when he does he is rather easily soothed.  He slept through the night last night from 9pm to 6am.  We are desperately in love and we have seen the miraculous hand of God in our little boy.  God is good.  

So here is what is going on in our lives from the time of Joel's birth to now.  

I (Bobby) have been working part time at Coast Hills Community Church as the associate worship pastor.  The rest of my time is split between playing at a wine bar every Friday night, random guitar/singing gigs, contractual work with Taylor guitars as a product specialist and joining Primerica Financial Services to help people learn how to save money (myself included!!).

Harper went on Maternity leave from Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) and doesn't return until April.  It has been one of the greatest joys of my life to watch my wife embrace motherhood as gracefully as she has.  Joel keeps her very busy with feedings, diapers (in case anyone was wondering, yes, I do help out with diaper duty), hugs and kisses, all the while still being an attentive wife and friend.  She is my new favorite action figure.  

We are new at this whole blog thing so give us grace in updating our records, but we will try to do our best to bring the latest greatest stories and growing achievements Joel makes.
